MariT21 – Intelligent Marine Technologies for the 21th Century

MariT21 is a coordinated project to merge powers in the area of marine technologies with the aim to create a competence network and, at the same time, to carry out research and development activities in this field, thus increasing Germany’s part in worldwide turnover and market share of deep-sea exploration and the winning of resources and raw materials. The focus will be on the exploitation and the development of underwater resources of gas/oil, gas hydrates, and on deep-sea mining.
